On Thursday, Valentine's Day, "Blade Runner" Oscar Pistorius was charged with murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

Initial reports said that, Oscar, 26, mistook the 30-year-old model for an intruder and then allegedly opened fire,. However, per the New York Times , police announced there had been "previous law enforcement complaints about domestic incidents at his home."

She Was a Top Model: Well-known in South Africa, Reeva modeled swimsuits and was featured in as one of FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World." She was also the face of Avon cosmetics in South Africa.

She Was No Stranger to the Small Screen: Reeva was a contestant on Tropika Island of Treasure 5, a reality show set to begin airing Saturday in her home country.

She Was Religious: In Reeva's Twitter bio, she described herself as a "Child of God." Two weeks before her death, she Instagrammed a note to God saying, "I need you. Every day, every moment, every second that I breathe, I need you. I am not strong enough on my own. Amen."

She Was Beloved by Friends and Family: The model frequently posted pictures of her friends and family. Just two weeks before she was killed, she Instagrammed a collage of "Some of my favourite people," which included a shot of Oscar. Per the BBC, her agent described her as "an absolute angel—the sweetest, sweetest, sweetest human being."
