Justin Bieber not only didn't get love from the Recording Academy this year, having been passed over for a Grammy nomination, but he's also not getting much respect from The Black Keys either.

Or at least one of them.

Patrick Carney—one-half of the popular garage rock duo who have a whopping seven Grammys under their belt—was caught on camera outside of Hollywood's Chateau Marmont dissing the teen heartthrob for, well, for being a teen heartthrob, not in his view a musician.

When asked if Bieber deserved a Grammy nod, the Black Keys drummer replied, "He's rich, right?"

To add further insult to injury, Carney added for good measure: "The Grammys are...for music and not for money. And he's making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess."

Ouch!

Bieber took the slam jokingly in stride on Twitter.

"The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around haha," the singer tweeted.

Following his Grammy snub back in December, Bieber admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that not being nominated at all was "a big bummer," despite his records going platinum. Even Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, weighed in, saying Grammy organizers "blew it."

Maybe to take his mind off of missing out on the music industry's biggest night, Bieber booked himself a gig hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live on Saturday. He also scheduled a livestream for fans on Sunday not so coincidentally during the actual ceremony, but it ended up being derailed for a time due to technical problems.

Hey, at least you've got your Ferrari and Lamborghini, right, J.B.?
