The Grammy Awards are the perfect place to take risks, but thanks to the new wardrobe guidelines, we were wondering if the red carpet would ever be the same.

Luckily for us, the stars don't always abide by the rules.

From plunging necklines and skintight gowns, to a few seriously strange get-ups, the fashion of music's biggest night was hardly disappointing.

Jennifer Lopez earned our 'Riskiest Look of the Night' award when she stepped onto the carpet in a stunning Anthony Vaccarello gown that would have changed the game if the wind had blown just right way.

And then there was Katy Perry's body conscious gown by Gucci that showed off her svelte figure and a whole lot lof cleavage!

Adele shocked fans when she opted for a red floral Valentino ensemble rather than her typical LBD, and Florence Welch also opted out of her usual flowy frocks in favor of a questionable custom design by Givenchy.

While we love to see stars stepping out of their comfort zone, it was Lisa D'Amato of America's Next Top Model fame who raised some skeptical eyebrows on the red carpet.

Do you think the stars' risks paid off?
