Three Selena Gomez fans appeared to get the pleasant surprise of a lifetime last night when the pop star touched down at LAX and, with the paparazzi in full view, invited the lucky ladies into her SUV for an impromptu meet-and-greet.
And though the moment seemed almost too good to be true, both for the fans and for Gomez, who came off looking pretty darn cool and carefree, this was no publicity stunt, according to her rep.
And the girls' tweets after the fact indicated that they were utterly thrilled to have spent some face time with the newly single singer, who let them into the car for autographs and pictures and then dropped them off at a different terminal.
Ladi Anne tweeted, "@StopHateSG shut up, I waited 12 hours at the airport to see her, and she gave me the best 5 minutes of my life. She's the best, that's all."
She also wrote, "SELENA GOMEZ IS THE MOST AMAZING GIRL EVER! She just took me and my 2 Brazilian friends to a car ride at the airport!!!! Omg , now I love you to death."
"Selena Gomez is the most amazing girl ever!" tweeted one of the girls, along with a photo of her with Gomez, who was rocking her heart-shaped sunglasses. "There were about 30 paparazzi around her so she couldn't stop to talk to any fan, when she got in the car, she took me and two friends to a car ride with her. I couldn't believe I was in the car with Selena, she's sooooo nice and sweet! Omg, amazing experience!
"That's why she's getting bigger and bigger, even with all the fame, she still has her head right in place, with humble and passion. You go Selena!"
