Elizabeth Hurley can put the brakes on the hunt for her missing car.
That's because the vehicle, a black Audi that she reported last week as being stolen, has now apparently surfaced in the same London neighborhood where it supposedly went MIA.
The car was discovered Sunday in Mayfair parked by the curb, right next to a parking meter. Three tickets were plastered on its windshield, indicating that whoever left it there went past the spot's four-hour parking limit.
Metro Police are still trying to suss out exactly what went down—and whether the car's discovery is actually legit.
"We are awaiting confirmation of whether the vehicle find is true or not," a spokesman for the Metro Police tells E! News.
Police had previously said that they were investigating an allegation of theft of a motor vehicle, noting that "it is believed the vehicle was stolen on 31 January between 12:40hrs and 16:45hrs from Mount Street, W1."
At the time, authorities explained that "here have been no arrests and enquiries continue."
Hurley was snapped parking the car last Thursday while she went shopping in Mayfair. She later reported the vehicle as stolen after returning four hours later.
Guess even missing vehicles aren't spared from the wrath of the meter maid!
success!
