If Liam Neeson has any sheep, well, he might be in luck.

Hold that thought. We'll get back to it in a sec.

The actor was on hand to accept the freedom of his hometown of Ballymena in Northern Ireland on Monday, the BBC reports. The Freedom of the Borough is the highest accolade the Ballymena Borough Council can bestow on one of its citizens.

In fact, Neeson becomes only the fourth person to be given such an honor.

Which brings us back to the aforementioned livestock.

While addressing the crowd gathered for the ceremony, Mayor PJ McAvoy noted that, in the past, Freemen of the Borough not only "earned tax benefits," but (wait for it!) "could drive their sheep unimpeded through the town."

While it doesn't sound like Neeson will reaping those benefits now, we gotta say: if that's not freedom, we don't know what is!
