The Amazing Race: Meet the Teams Competing on Season 22

A new twist is being introduced this season on the Emmy-winning competition series

The 11 teams competing on this season of The Amazing Race, which marks the 22nd race around the world, were announced by CBS today. As expected, we get a little bit of everything from the duos, and host Phil Keoghan calls them the "most diverse cast ever."

Some notable competitors participating for the $1 million prize on the Emmy-winning reality series include twin brothers who are both OB/GYNs, father-son cancer survivors, roller derby moms, and Southern firefighters. Also being introduced this season is a new twist to the game: the first team to check in a the first pit stop will earn two "Express Passes," one to keep and one to give out to another team by the end of the fourth leg of the race.
