Russell Crowe and Britney Spears, "Toxic" Twinsies? Actor Retweets Fan's Double-Take of His Les Mis Getup

Were Russell Crowe and Britney Spears secretly separated at birth?

Sure looks it, based on a hilarious tweet comparing uncannily similar shots of outifts they've worn on screen!

Showing that he's got a healthy sense of humor despite his notoriously gruff persona, the Les Misérables star retweeted a post by a fan showing a side-by-side comparison of his duds in the Oscar-nominated movie and Spears' sexy getup in the video for her 2004 hit "Toxic."

And nope: You're not seeing double.

"hey @britneyspears did you see @russellcrowe in #lesMis maybe he is fan of you ;-)))," a fan of both stars wrote in his tweet.

Indeed, based on those caps and snazzy teal threads, we'll forgive you for pulling a do-over of the pics.

Crowe has proven to be refreshingly candid, even self-effacing, on Twitter about his celebrity, as well as the microblogging site's free-for-all punditry. Earlier this month, he admitted he "didn't disagree" with Adam Lambert's diss of Les Misérables' vocal performances, saying that the vocals "could have been sweetened" but that director Tom Hooper "wanted it raw and real."

He's apparently keeping it raw and real with Brit as well!
