To follow or not to follow?

That is the question we're posing to you after the highly anticipated new serial-killer thriller The Following finally premiere tonight on Fox and introduced viewers to the seductive Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), a killer with enough charisma and charm to lead a cult of loyal followers, and Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), the weary FBI agent who caught him eight years ago and is now being called upon to do it again.

We've gushed (hard) over the new series from The Vampire Diaries and Scream mastermind Kevin Williamson, but now it's your turn to tell us what you thought of Fox's newest (and scariest) drama...

Romance! Mystery! Intrigue! Death! A trio of murderous psychopaths/kidnappers! The Following has it all, including a love triangle among Joe, Ryan and Joe's ex-wife Claire (Justified's Natalie Zea). Equally as compelling? The show's younger trio, made up of Nico Tortorella, Adan Canto and the stellar Valorie Curry, whose twisted devotion to Joe, and each other, only gets even creepier as the series progresses.

Of course, the pilot's best scene came at the end, when Ryan interrogated Joe, who unveiled his plan to write a sequel about Ryan and all the games he has in store for him. Ryan didn't take to the idea very well, breaking Joe's fingers. Game. On. Speaking of Ryan and Joe's complicated past (and crackling chemistry), Purefoy recently told us, "Joe Carroll doesn't want to kill Ryan Hardy. He just wants to cause him exquisite pain," Purefoy reveals. "[They're] in this strange dance of death with each other that will keep going on and on and on until one of them dies."
