Fans of the 25-year-old singer went into a Twitter tizzy after a Global Associated News report surfaced that the "Beautiful Soul" singer died in a "single vehicle car crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell."
But no need to shed a teen heartthrob tear! Jesse is most definitely alive and well, and the former All My Children star took to Twitter to set the record straight:
"The Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated," the new Army Wives castmember clarified.
McCartney is hardly the first star to discover his on death on the Internet, but turns out, Jesse has been KO'd the exact same way as David Beckham. And Justin Bieber. And, um, David Guetta. Oh, and Usher, and Pauly D and Jerry Springer.
Seriously.
A quick Google search will reveal a verbatim report where a variety of celebs have all met their death on Route 80 thanks to a repurposed story from the ever-reliable Global Associated News.
The lesson learned from the latest death hoax? Stay away from Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell.
