Let's all toast to hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey!
The 2013 Golden Globes hit truly golden numbers in the ratings for NBC, attracting 19.6 million viewers and a whopping 6.4 in the 18-49 demo rating.
Impressed yet? Well, prepare for more: The numbers are a 17 percent (in viewers) and 28 percent (in the demo) improvement on last year's show, which was hosted by Ricky Gervais.
In fact, the Fey and Poehler-hosted affair was the Golden Globes highest-rated in six years, when 2007's telecast attracted 20 million viewers. (So close!)
Elsewhere, ABC's hit dramas Once Upon a Time and Revenge took a bit of a hit: Once was down 10 percent from last week (8.1 million viewers and a 2.1 in the demo), while Revenge tied its series low with 6.1 million viewers and a 2.0 demo rating. On CBS, The Good Wife seems to have received a boost thanks to the NFL playoffs, attracting 10 million viewers and matching its season high in the demo with a 1.9 rating.
