Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting a very bright summer!

The royal couple's first baby will be due in July, giving palace watchers (not to mention battalions of paps) ample time to clear their summer schedules for what will no doubt be a serious bid for some royal baby eyeballing.

The palace announced the news Monday, saying, "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July."

It also provided an update on Kate's health following her nasty bout with acute morning sickness, noting, "The Duchess' condition continues to improve since her stay in [the] hospital last month."

Indeed, Will and Kate were out and about last week to celebrate the duchess' 31st birthday, catching a performance of Cirque du Soleil in London with her family and a posse of pals. (They even managed to poke fun at Wills during the show!)

The palace has also confirmed that the royal couple are on the hunt for a housekeeper for their home at Kensington Palace, telling E! News that the position "has been advertised internally." The duo had previously denied they were looking for extra help, but with a baby on the way and royal duties beckoning, who can blame them for needing a few more hands on deck?

And although it may be too soon to determine the baby's gender, the blue-blooded bundle of joy will already have a title waiting for it regardless, as Queen Elizabeth II recently decreed that her next great-grandchild's title will be prince or princess and be referred to as His or Her Royal Highness.

Talk about royally good news!
