Juice cleanses, colonics, fasting, sauna suits—with the Golden Globes just days away, a lot of stars are debating what to do in order to shed those last few pesky pounds before they hit the red carpet.

We turned to celebrity nutritionist and registered dietician Keri Glassman and asked for her expert opinion.

Surprisingly, you don't have to starve yourself! You can lose the weight without fasting, only drinking juice or taking other extreme measures. In fact, Keri has the perfect plan that her celeb clients can start today that will have them red-carpet ready by Sunday!

It's called the four-day cleanse and it's a super-simple plan that still allows you to eat regularly, so you're not starving, but incorporates healthy foods that help cleanse and detoxify your body.

Keri was nice enough to share the plan with us, so if you want to give it a go, here's the roadmap:

Breakfast: 1 whole egg, plus 2 egg whites (scrambled) with 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Snack: 1 medium Granny Smith apple and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Lunch: Lentil Spinach Salad (spinach, 1/2 cup cooked lentils, 1 hard-boiled egg and 2 teaspoon olive oil)

Snack: 1/2 cup artichoke hearts or 1 small steamed artichoke with a squeeze of lemon

Dinner: Salmon Spinach Salad (1 cup spinach, 4 ounces grilled salmon and 1/4 avocado)

Keri also shared some suggestions for the everyday dieter. She says the four-day cleanse is still a great start since you're eating at regular intervals and it's "a great framework that will help jumpstart your diet because you'll start to feel better and you're setting yourself up for success."

She also recommends tracking your hunger and fullness on a scale from 1 to 10 so that you get more in touch with what levels of satiety you're eating to. Sometimes we eat mindlessly and eat way beyond our basic needs. "You never want to do that," Keri says, "you never want to stuff yourself."

When it comes to juice cleanses, Keri says that while she's not a big advocate of them, she's "not totally against them as long as you're not getting enough calories, but you have to have a good plan of attack for after." Instead, she suggests incorporating the juices into a healthy diet, so you still get all of the benefits, but you don't set yourself up for a rebound where you regain the weight as soon as you start eating solid foods again.

Keri's book, The New You and Improved Diet: 8 Rules to Lose Weight and Change Your Life Forever, which can be purchased here, includes tons of helpful tips and some recipes (like peanut butter cup oatmeal) that are so delicious, you won't even feel like you're on a diet!
