Kelly Clarkson's recent engagement may have broken a few hearts.

Women's hearts, specifically, if you ask the American Idol alum.

In the February issue of Cosmopolitan mag, the singer-songwriter gushes over her hubby-to-be, Brandon Blackstock, while laughing off lesbian rumors that have plagued the star for years.

"People think, ‘Oh, she's been single for too long,' the 30-year-old star confessed. "That's kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn't mean you're gay."

Although Clarkson has fought off the false reports surrounding her sexuality for years, the singer admits she's never been offended by the tabloid talk:

"I'm never insulted by it, obviously. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian I would be so in luck. But it's just not that my thing. I've always batted for the boys' team."

And not only do we love Kelly's attitude, but we also adore her down-to-Earth take on her body.

The "Stronger" singer recently lost nearly 20 pounds, and admits that her relationship with her fiancé inspired the star to get fit.

"I lost 18 pounds," she revealed. "And I think that happens when you fall in love or date someone. If I'm not going to be kissing or messing around, I gotta look good."
