George Lucas wasn't kidding when he said he was ready to move on to "bigger and better things" after selling Lucasfilm to Disney for billions recently.
The 68-year-old Star Wars creator is engaged to his longtime girlfriend of seven years, businesswoman Mellody Hobson, E! News confirms.
Lucas recently decided to donate the majority of the $4 billion he snagged from the sale of his company to a foundation that will focus primarily on educational issues, and dished about being excited about starting a new part of his life.
"For 41 years, the majority of my time and money has been put into the company," Lucas said in a statement. "As I start a new chapter in my life, it is gratifying that I have the opportunity to devote more time and resources to philanthropy."
This will be the second marriage for Lucas and the first for the 43-year-old president of investment management firm, Ariel Investments LLC, Huffington Post reports.
Congrats!
