Forget Watch the Throne: Jay-Z wants you to watch The Great Gatsby!

Beyoncé's other half will be cowriting the original musical score to director Baz Luhrmann's buzzed-about adaptation of the classic roaring-'20s tale, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.

The announcement came courtesy of the rapper's collaborator, producer-songwriter The Bullitts, who spilled the news on Twitter.

"Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby!" he wrote. "It is too DOPE for words!"

Jay-Z's already got a head start with the project: His hit song with Kanye West, "No Church in the Wild," is featured in the film's trailer.

And judging by the flashy, splashy snippets we've seen so far, Luhrmann's brazen take on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel looks to be a roaring affair indeed.

The Great Gatsby opens on May 10.
