Lindsay Lohan Jumps the Pond, Dons Posh Fur: Is She Hoping to Hook Up With The Wanted?

Star makes sure to avoid stateside trouble—by heading to London before New Year's Eve!

Apparently there aren't enough parties in the USA for Lindsay Lohan. Or maybe there are too many.

Whatever the case, the troubled Liz & Dick starlet has bolted these shores for the friendly confines of the U.K. in advance of New Year's Eve.

Rarely one to dial down the drama, Lohan let her wardrobe do the talking as she arrived at the Dorchester Hotel in London in a showy, full-length fur coat.

So, other than making a fashion statement, why did she jump the pond?

A source tells E! News that while in London, LiLo plans to see her boy-band crush, Max George of The Wanted.

"She likes him and he likes her, but nothing has come of it," the source says of Lindsay and Max.

But if this trip is a way to get close to The Wanted, it promises to be a quickie, since the band is due back stateside to perform on the New Year's Rockin' Eve show Monday night.
