That is, we had a hard time until we grabbed the nearest kindergartner, who set us straight: That's not Elle Fanning, silly face, it's Addy the little Civil War doll from the American Girl collection. (Yikes. Mrs. Ford must really not let her get out of that garret much.)
Maybe we shouldn't be so harsh. After all, the Chanel dress isn't offensive as such, and the shoes are OK, we guess. Then again, Elle is wearing a choker last seen on Downton Abbey's Dowager Countess Violet in her Gay Nineties days. And the whole getup is from a resort collection. If The Tonight Show with Jay Leno ever moves to St. Barts, we'll take back everything we've just said. Until then: Sister, you're living in New York in the winter of 2012, try some pants.
