Wolverine may be going solo for his next outing, but that doesn't mean he won't get a surprise visit from an old X-Men pal.

The Wolverine star Hugh Jackman reveals that the clawed mutant's new flick will include a cameo from a fellow X-Men teammate, stoking fanboy anticipation for the latest installment in the mutant-film saga.

"The movie takes place after X-Men: The Last Stand," the Aussie actor tells Parade magazine about The Wolverine's timeline. "My character is at his lowest. He is supposed to be able to heal himself, but he may encounter someone who has worked out a way to really hurt him. And there is a cameo from one of the past X-Men in it."

Dum-dum-dum! So who is it?

Early online chatter is pegging that cameo to be the hero's elusive love, Jean Grey (played by Famke Janssen in the original X-Men trilogy). Fans will know for sure when the The Wolverine opens on July 26, 2013.

Here's what else went down:

Dr. McLatte: Instead of saving lives, Patrick Dempsey hopes to save a Seattle coffee chain.
