So You Think You Can Dance will live on!

Despite a dip in ratings (and controversial format change) last summer, Fox has decided to renew the fan-favorite competition series for a 10th season.

"I couldn't be more proud of the amazing work that Nigel and the entire So You Think You Can Dance team has done over the past nine seasons. This show is truly one of the most compelling series on television and I can't wait to bring it back for Season 10," said Fox's President of Alternative Entertainment Mike Darnell in a statement.

Auditions will kick off soon: Jan. 18 in Austin, Texas (venue TBD);  Feb. 11 at Saint Andrew's Hall in Detroit;  Feb. 21 at the Boston Opera House in Boston; March 14 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tenn.; and March 22 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

No word yet on when season 10 will premiere, but it's expected to garner a summer launch.
