Just in time for the holidays, Kim Kardashian arrived at LAX today with a hot new hairstyle.

The brunette beauty showed off sideswept bangs and shorter locks—a fresh update to her usual style.

Celebrity stylist Chris McMillan was the mastermind behind her new 'do, and we're loving this sassy look. But just how much did McMillan really take off?

Kardashian instagrammed an artistic collage to capture the cut from beginning to end, tweeting "Fun shoot today @mrchrismcmillan He just can't control his scissor hands! #bangs."

But the style icon broke the news a couple hours later: "The bangs are fake! Just clip ons! I had a fun Cosmo cover shoot yesterday and Chris McMillan clipped these on!"

As for her hair color, it certainly looks as though McMillan gave her signature glossy 'do a makeover as well, lightening it up a shade or two to brighten her face.
