Kate Middleton is getting back to business.

Following bout after bout of acute morning sickness, the royal mom-to-be is scheduled to make her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy, attending the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year Awards at ExCel London tonight.

"Her Royal Highness will present the Lifetime Achievement and the main Sports Personality of the Year Awards," a Palace rep confirmed to E! News. "The Duchess will attend the event in response to a long-standing invitation from the BBC."

The Duchess of Cambridge was originally scheduled to make her first public baby-bumpin' appearance at The Hobbit's London premiere Wednesday, but had to bow out after coming down with morning sickness just a few days after getting released from a UK hospital
