Brooke Burke-Charvet's battle with cancer has taken a positive turn.

It's only been a week since the 41-year-old Dancing with the Stars host underwent surgery for thyroid cancer, but Burke-Charvet said she's "feeling pretty good" and just found out she's cancer-free.

"I just got the results back from all of my tests and great news - the thyroid cancer has been removed from my body and all my lymph nodes are clear," Burke-Charvet wrote on ModernMom.com. "So I'm hoping that this is the end of the story. Woohoo!!! And thank GOD! My surgery went really well and recovery is much better than I expected it would be."

The mother of four said she's been home resting and "watching a lot of TV," which she rarely has had time to do in the past.

"In a weird way, it's kind of the perfect ending to a very busy year," Burke-Charvet went on. "I've taken the rest of the year off to recover and catch up with my family and now we're just celebrating life. I never thought a mandatory vacation would be under these circumstances but it's nice to quiet the noise and enjoy the R&R and stay home for a change."

"Every day I'm feeling better and I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual routine, but with a bit of a different outlook. I've never been one to take life for granted and it sounds so cliché to say it, but this whole thyroid experience has given my family such a scare that it seems to have brought us all closer. And it's allowing us to ring in the New Year with a newfound respect for life."

The former E!'s Wild On host revealed her thyroid cancer diagnosis last month, saying, "I'm just going to make a positive out of this negative thing…I'm ready to deal with it, and I'm going to be fine. I feel really, really strong. Doctors say this is a 'good' kind of cancer to have.…my doctor did tell me this is a happily ever after ending kind of thing."
