When we ran into beauty maven Lauren Conrad at the Chateau Marmont, we had to get her expert opinion on getting glam for the holidays. Here's what she told us:
1. Just add sparkle. "The holidays are a time to have fun. Play with sparkle and experiment with new colors." Translation: don't be shy! If you're prone to wearing neutral shadows, try a rich plum shade or a gold-flecked liner for experimentation, but tone down your lip color for balance.
2. Bigger is better. "Go big with your hair! It's a time to celebrate. I use a line called Big Sexy Hair which keeps my hair soft and manageable and protects against heat damage."
3. Accentuate your eyes. "There's a liquid eye liner by mark that I love and have used for years and years," the style icon told us. Play up your peepers for a dramatic look.
