Nick Lachey is one seriously dedicated football buff.

If you had any doubts, then just take one look at the Cincinnati mega-fan's Twitter account, where he proudly boasts that he was kicked out of the Chargers stadium in San Diego when the SoCal team took on his beloved Bengals Sunday.

"Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals! #whodey," the father of baby Camden tweeted yesterday after he was kicked out of the stadium—but not for trash talking, as was widely reported.

No, while Lachey was booted following a confrontation with an apparent Chargers fan, it was the other guy who had the dubious distinction of being kicked out for his potty mouth.

"For the record, i was not kicked out of the chargers game for excessive trash talking. no, that honor belonged to the guy in front of me!" Lachey tweeted this afternoon. "i simply don't appreciatesomeone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction. again, aside from a few exceptions, i had a great time hanging with Charger fans all afternoon. honestly, some of the nicest fans around," he concluded.

And he made clear earlier that he didn't regret a thing.

"Bengals win again. i'd talk trash to everyone in SD, but what's the point? you already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost," he posted after the Bengal victory.

And this morning, Lachey took to Twitter to thank Chargers fans for welcoming him to San Diego:

"Majority of charger fans were awesome yesterday, thanks for the hospitality! Sadly, there is always one guy that ruins it for everyone....." Vanessa Minnillo's hubby wrote.

Lesson learned: Don't get between Lachey and his favorite sports team!
