The Bachelor castoff turned lucky-in-love Bachelorette married J.P. Rosenbaum today in Pasadena, Calif., E! News reports, about a year and a half after the world watched J.P. get down on one knee and pop the question, not even knowing—as the name of the game dictates—if Ashley would accept!
But he was the one Ashley was waiting for, and she gladly accepted the 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring he offered to seal the deal.
Flashforward to the big day: "Today is all about our friends and family," Hebert told People. "It's about standing with J.P., looking around at all the people we love in the same room there to celebrate our love."
Chris Harrison, the voice of reason amid all the Bachelorette drama, officiated the ceremony—and he'll host the couple's wedding special, airing Dec. 16 on ABC. A source tells E!, among the 200-some guests in the crowd were some familiar faces, including Bachelor/Bachelorette vets Ali Fedotowsky, Emily Maynard, and Jason and Molly Mesnick, and Jillian Harris as well as upcoming Bachelor Sean Lowe.
A source tells E!, the couple, who had a Jewish ceremony under a chuppah, kept things gorgeous with roses in shades of white ivory and pink, complete with two wedding cakes including one with a cake topper of the couple with—yes—Ashley giving J.P. a final red rose!
The bride made her way to I do by walking down a wood-planked aisle to a piano rendition of "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You." The romantic ceremony ended with cheer, while guests threw confetti and rose petals.
In successfully swapping vows, Ashley and J.P. didn't make history, but they certainly bucked a trend. Their nuptials are only the fourth to arise from the entire Bed, Bachelor & Beyond franchise, and, after Trista and Ryan Sutter, they're only the second couple to tie the knot after getting engaged on the season finale of The Bachelorette. (No one has achieved such a feat on The Bachelor yet.)
Expectant parents Jason and Molly Mesnick (he was engaged to Melissa Rycroft first, remember?) and Blake Julian and Holly Durst, who met on Bachelor Pad, are the other two couples holding up their end of the argument that finding lasting love on these shows is a possibility.
"We've got nothing but good things ahead," J.P. told E! News after they were finally able to go public. "We're not worried about the odds."
And while it would have been something had they rode off into their future in a chauffeured Bentley, we're gonna bet they went with a less flashy mode of transportation. (Though we'll find out for sure on Dec. 16, when The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.'s Wedding tells all.)
