The boy is meeting the world once again, but without his partner in crime!

Though Boy Meets World alums Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have officially signed on to star in Disney Channel's upcoming spin-off, Girl Meets World, one of their costars will not be returning. Rider Strong, who played Cory's (Savage) bad boy BFF Shawn, commented on the Girl Meets World reboot on his website today, revealing, "At this point, I have no official involvement."

But hope is not lost, Strong fans!

"There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot," he writes, "and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years."

In the post, Strong expresses his gratitude for Boy Meets World and says he's excited to see the new show develop.

"I am extremely happy for Ben and Danielle to be able to continue the story," Strong says. "Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, it's [sic] own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters. It's the next generation. And I, for one, can't wait to see it evolve."
