As it is pretty much every year, we're hobbling into December just a little bit colder and visibly fatter than we were a month ago. Not a total blimp-up, more like Lindsay Lohan at the tail end of Liz & Dick — which, for better or worse, we cannot get out of our heads. Looking ahead to our post-holiday diet, sources say popcorn is the next big thing, which goes over pretty well when movies are such a constant obsession.

Speaking of flicks, don't let the final Oscar run-up keep you from enjoying more lowbrow Hollywood delights, like Chris Hemsworth copping Swayze in the new Red Dawn redux. Not saying we want him to get sexy on a pottery wheel or anything, but we kinda like the how the lineage is playing out. Oh, and if you're a Netflix believer, now's a good time to freshen up your queue and dive in, as some people are saying the future of the service is uncertain. Gasp!

Of course, the real spirit of the burgeoning holiday season is measured not in movies or misguided Facebook posts but in music—specifically, the number of times per day you're hearing Mannheim Steamroller or Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas."  If you find yourself below quota, just holler. We're here to help.

Read on to see all the wonderful junk we can't get enough of this week. And hey, don't be scared to share your personal faves in the comments.
