Daniel Baldwin will escape jail time for his cocaine-fueled, hotel-room rampage last February--if he behaves.

The beefy, lesser-known Baldwin bro (Alec, Billy and Stephen included) was sentenced Monday to three months of rehab after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

Baldwin's transgression took place at the Plaza, a posh New York City hotel, February 2. The 37-year-old former Homicide star--apparently hepped up on cocaine--smashed furniture and otherwise totaled his suite. When the cops arrived, they found him naked, bloody and incoherent. On the TV set--the volume at full-blast--a porno movie.

Brother Billy later disputed the police reports which termed his sibling's actions a "cocaine psychosis." (A collection of crack pipes and spoons were scattered about the room.)

During Monday's sentencing, a New York judge told Baldwin that if he completes the three-month stint in rehab and avoids any run-ins with police for the next year, his record will be sealed.

The more serious charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance was dropped.

Baldwin says he's "very appreciative that it's over."
