At least, on the new poster for his upcoming flick, Only God Forgives, which features the oft-hunky actor bruised, bloody and beaten in the scary black and white shot.
The 32-year-old star's left eye is swollen shut and he has cuts all over his face (talk about some serious makeup!) and the heartthrob looks dead-faced with defeat in the new ad.
Written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (who also directed Gosling in Drive), Only God Forgives is the story of a gangster (Gosling) who owns a Thai boxing club and is forced to find and kill the individual responsible for his brother's death.
The flick—which also stars Kristin Scott Thomas and Tom Burke—is set to hit theaters in Denmark in May 2013.
