Just one week after their much-buzzed-about basketball PDA fest, the couple—who share a 16-year age difference—were snapped on Saturday heading to lunch together in the city.

The 26-year-old fashion designer was rocking her signature all-black ensemble and dark shades when she stepped out with her 42-year-old investment banker beau, and she smoked a cigarette as the two strolled around the East Village together.

Sarkozy—who towered over his pint-size ladylove—wore jeans and a casual camel jacket for the afternoon outing.

Although the duo's age difference has become a source for tabloid fodder (the two were first snapped together back in May), the style star, who has been in the business since she was an infant, insists that the gossip doesn't faze her:

"Everyone has an opinion," she told . "I find it's better to focus on what's in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other."
