If there's one thing Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his fiancé Justin Mikita know about their wedding, it's what kind of bow tie they are going to wear.

"We actually designed a formal wedding bow tie that will be released around Valentine's Day," Ferguson told me last night at the launch of Tie The Knot, the couple's new line of bow ties for The Tie Bar company that benefits marriage equality organizations.

The two, who announced in September they were engaged after two years together, have hired a wedding planner for their big day.

"I did go get a Martha Stewart Weddings magazine but it's really a lot of over the top stuff, a lot of bridesmaids' gifts," Ferguson said.

"Neither one of us ever dreamed of getting married," he continued. "Maybe in the back of our heads we did, but we don't have a book of our dream wedding…It's a lot of learning as we go."

They're planning to get hitched sometime next year. "If we can find a venue," said Mikita, an attorney. "It's about the venue."

Helping the two toast their new venture last night at the London Hotel in West Hollywood were Ferguson's Modern Family costars Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland and Eric Stonestreet as well as Lance Bass, Zachary Quinto, Kathy Griffin, Kristin Chenoweth, Sarah Paulson, Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr.
