Actress and singer Taryn Manning, who was arrested last month and charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly roughing up her assistant, was offered an ACD, or adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, and one day of community service by prosecutors, E! News confirms.

If Manning stays out of trouble for six months and completes her one day of community service, she'll be in the clear and her charge will be dismissed.

Authorities reached this outcome because of the star's clean record, and Manning's assistant Holly Hartman refused to go further with prosecution, and while it may seem light, is a completely standard disposition for someone with no criminal record, and had been charged with misdemeanors in a case where the complaining witness became uncooperative.

The alleged throw down happened at the posh Dream Downtown Hotel in Manhattan in mid-October. According to police, the 8 Mile star reportedly kicked the 23-year-old woman, causing scratches and bruises to her face and neck. Manning also allegedly grabbed Hartman by the throat.
