It's that time of year when our customary devouring of music, videos and miscellaneous pop culture stuff doubles as homework for Black Friday. Taking Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for a spin or overdosing on The Weeknd's new album helps get a handle on how we might rock the respective worlds of our imminent holiday gift-getters.

The home stretch to holiday time also brings that distinguished (yet somehow desperate) parade of Hollywood luminaries looking to get in on the Oscar gold rush. Much as we're psyched about "final" installment of the Twilight series, our money is on Keira Knightley—or at least her wardrobe—to rack up at least one Academy nod a few months from now.

What else? Oh! NASCAR is now officially a contact sportMick Jagger is still old and Visa can apparently be the official sponsor of getting ice cream from a dish into your mouth.
