If you look at the 2012 election like it's a TV season, what with the campaigning and the sweeps debates, then tonight's election of either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney would be the finale. Which, for some, will probably be the: Worst. Finale. Ever.

But what about those oh-so-controversial series finales on your favorite shows? To celebrate Election Day, we're pitting two of the most controversial finales against each other: Lost vs. The Sopranos.

Whether you loved them or hated them, there's no denying that both the ABC cult classic and the HBO critical darling had some of the most polarizing final episodes in TV history. Which may explain why the die-hard fans are still talking about 'em to this day.

Lost spun what felt like a million seasons worth of mythology involving smoke monsters, mysterious island dwellers and something to do with radiation (we think), only to find the gang (including Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lily, amongst other) in purgatory. ¡¿Que?! Then there's The Sopranos, which was blood, guts and gang activity until, well, it cut to black. Then what happened?! The choice is yours.
