With election day now upon us, Beyoncé had some kind thoughts to share about Barack Obama.
The R&B superstar posted a handwritten letter on Monday to the president on her website praising his leadership and expressing her support, one day before Americans go to the polls to decide whether to grant him a second term.
"Everyday we see your heart and character, inspiring all of us to give more of ourselves," wrote Beyoncé. "You are the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be."
Bey and hubby Jay-Z, of course, are big boosters and friends of the president and his wife, Michelle Obama, having thrown a $40,000-per-person campaign fundraiser at Hova's 40/40 club back in September that the president and first lady attended.
And Beyoncé even wrote a letter to Michelle last April heralding her for being a "truly strong African-American woman."
Now in her latest missive, the "Halo" singer was even more glowing about the example she says Barack has set for the next generation, particularly her daughter Blue Ivy.
"You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be," she added.
For his part, Jay-Z expressed his support by performing at an Obama rally in Ohio Monday afternoon and tweaking some lyrics in his hit "99 Problems" by throwing in a nod to the president's Republican opponent, Mitt Romney.
"If you're having world problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but Mitt ain't one," he rapped.
