It's elementary, really: The Super Bowl is one of the biggest television events of the year, and that makes it a highly coveted spot to test out new shows.

This year, the game is airing on CBS, and the net has chosen to air special episode of its new drama Elementary after the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 3.

The Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu-led series is the number two new show of the season, and is consistently winning its time slot week in and week out.

Elementary, which recently received a full season pickup from CBS, is set to air at 10 p.m. after the Super Bowl, but that is subject to change depending on game length.

In previous years, Fox aired a special episode of Glee, complete with Katie Couric as a guest star. Last year, NBC premiered the new season of The Voice and the series debut of Smash.
