Maybe Neil Young didn't like Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Or just maybe he isn't a fan of U2.

Either way, after joining Twitter recently, the Godfather of Grunge couldn't resist poking fun at the Irish rocker with some amusing answers to fan questions in a Q&A organized by the microblogging site on Wednesday.

When asked by one follower on #LegendsOnTwitter what his favorite up-and-coming band is, Young named Foster the People, who played his Bridge School Benefit this year. At that point, another fan by the handle @akemi99 chimed in, "btw, bono said he likes them too….it is surprising two super stars like them…"

To which Young deadpanned: "who is Bono?"

The funny exchanges continued from there. For instance, when asked who he'd like to see win the World Series, the Detroit Tigers or the San Francisco Giants, the legendary musician quipped, "Detroit or San Francisco."

Young—who was promoting his new double album with Crazy Horse, Psychedelic Pill, dropping Oct. 30—also broke a little news as well. That is, if you take him at his word.

When asked whether a Young-Axl Rose collaboration might be forthcoming after Guns N' Roses was part of his Bridge School lineup this year, the 66-year-old singer-songwriter tweeted, "Axl and I are doing a world tour together."

Given Young's notorious sense of humor, we'll believe it when we see it.
