They wanna start it up early.
The Rolling Stones surprised fans early this morning by announcing an impromptu "warm-up gig" happening in Paris tonight—an early kickoff to their highly anticipated 50th-anniversary tour.
The band posted the news on Twitter shortly after 2 a.m. and immediately caused a feeding frenzy among fans angling for one of only 350 tickets being made available for the show.
Those die-hards have a reason to be rabid: The Stones haven't played together onstage in five years.
The group announced last week that they've got four concerts lined up—two at London's 02 Arena on Nov. 25 and 29 and two at Newark's Prudential Center on Dec. 13 and 15.
That should provide enough satisfaction for fans.
