Katy Perry Flaunts Fabulous Figure in Purple Bodysuit, Wants to Spread Meditation for 28th Birthday

Pop star, whose ex Russell Brand is a huge proponent of meditation, says the process "changed my life"

We need to start eating more Popchips.

While filming a commercial for the healthy snack food Tuesday in L.A., Katy Perry showed off her flawless figure in a metallic purple bodysuit. Perry replaced Ashton Kutcher as the face of Popchips in July.

But the "Firework" songstress has more to celebrate than her amazing body and what we presume to be an unlimited supply of Popchips: Thursday is her 28th birthday!

Over the weekend she celebrated early at the famous Magic Castle with John Mayer, Kristen Stewart, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, but for her actual birthday tomorrow, she doesn't want presents.

"Transcendental meditation changed my life," she tweeted last Friday. (Perry's ex-husband, Russell Brand, is a huge proponent of meditation as well. He told the L.A. Times in July meditation helps him to "relax and unwind" and keeps life in perspective.) "For my birthday I would love to pay it forward. In lieu of gifts, donate."

The star, now dating Mayer, linked to the David Lynch Foundation, which seeks to bring "Transcendental Meditation to millions of adults and children all over the world who suffer from post-traumatic stress."

What a thoughtful way to celebrate the big 2-8!
