There's a lot of buzz surrounding designer Giambattista Valli right now, as it was just revealed that he was, in fact, the chosen one to design Jessica Biel's wedding dress. While he's not quite a household name just yet, we have no doubt that will change soon!

Here are five things you need to know about the designer so many starlets are already smitten with:

1. Fresh Talent:  Having just debuted in 2005, Valli's eponymous collection has garnered an immense amount of praise in a very short amount of time. While his line is relatively new to the fashion scene, the designer nurtured his talents and paid his dues working under fashion labels such as Roberto Capucci, Fendi, Krizia and Emanuel Ungaro.

2. The Italian Touch: Valli is Italian, but shows his ready-to-wear and couture collections at Paris Fashion Week every season. (Psst! We're told his runway shows are typically over-the-top and fabulous.) He also designs a bridal line and a couture collection, which is a favorite among the celebrity set.

3. Vava-voom! His show-stopping pieces include high-drama dresses with serious volume in the form of ruffles, bows and ornate embellishments. His elaborate silhouettes and playful designs are adored by women of all ages.

4. Valli Girls. The designer is adored by an entourage of actresses. His celebrity fans include Jessica Biel, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Halle Berry, Brooke Shields, Lea Michele, Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, Diane Kruger, Rachel Zoe, Charlize Theron, Zoe Saldana, Olivia Palermo and many more.

5. Mass Appeal. Just last fall, the designer expanded his reach and debuted an affordable capsule collaboration for Macy's. The contemporary line featured flirty cocktail dresses, chic day coats, tuxedo pants and embellished tees ranging from $50 to $150.
