It was the worst-kept secret in Hollywood. That is, for everyone except the star at the center of the secret!

Khloé Kardashian Odom called in to talk to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning to talk about her exciting new gig hosting The X Factor and reveals that Ryan was the person who broke the news to her.

Plus, she admits what is making her nervous about the gig and dishes on her cohost Mario Lopez....

While it seems like rumors about Khloé joining The X Factor were circling for weeks, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star admits it was a bit of a frustrating time for her because she didn't know if she had actually landed the coveted gig.

"I'm not a liar. I like to say what it is. Everyone thought that I was just BS-ing everyone," she explains. "They were like, ‘So you got the job?' I was like, ‘I promise you, no one has confirmed anything with me. I would tell everyone if I did!' I was just waiting for someone to tell me, but everyone knew before me!"

Everyone including Ryan, who sent her an email congratulating her...before she even got the official word that she was hired!

Of course, Khloé isn't going to be hosting alone, as Fox announced that Mario Lopez will be by her side. "We really hate each other," Khloé jokes. "I'm so sick to my stomach that I have to be by his side. You know when you're that unattractive it's just hard to be with someone."

All jokes aside, Khloé admits that having Mario as her cohost has helped ease her nerves. "I mean, he's seriously the nicest guy ever. I'm in good company," she says. "He's great at what he does, so it takes some of the pressure off of me because I am nervous. I've never hosted before. I think we're going to have fun; we've known each other for awhile. I feel I'll be comfortable around him, so he'll make it easy for me."

So what exactly is she nervous about? Her lack of filter (which Ryan praises).  "I mean, what if I get kicked off the show because I say something so bad?! That is what I'm nervous about, but listen, I can't be anyone else but myself. I just have to control the language a little bit," Khloé says.

As for what she'll be doing on the show, Khloé admits, "I have no idea."
