In another timeline, Community's fourth season would be premiering tonight.

Unfortunately, Oct. 19 will be a day that lives in infamy in this dark timeline, as NBC has yet to announce a premiere date for the cult-favorite show's new season after deciding to delay its return

Of course, the cast and crew of the show have kept on truckin' and decided to address all the uncertainty in a new episode of Troy and Abed in the Morning!

In a YouTube video titled "Community Season 4 Premiere...Someday," Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi) reveal that the power-that-be just couldn't decide "where to put Oct. 19." Abed goes on to explain that Oct. 19 isn't just a date, "it's a state of mind."

Of course, Annie (Alison Brie), Britta (Gillian Jacobs) and the rest of the gang soon come around to the idea. "While we may not know exactly when we're going to air on the calendar, rest assured when we do, it'll be Oct. 19," Abed says, with Troy finishing it for him: "In here," as he points to his heart, obviously. (Is Oct. 19 now the new Christmas in this timeline? Discuss.)

Oh, and there's an awesome Animal Practice cancellation reference thrown in there for good measure.  Have we mentioned how much we miss this show?

Community season four premieres someday on NBC. Probably. Maybe.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
