First Robert Pattinson worked the talk-show circuit for Cosmopolis. Then Kristen Stewart had to hit the road for On the Road. Liberty Ross walked a runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. And now Rupert Sanders is headed back to work, as well.

The Snow White and the Huntsman director, a household name now thanks to his post-project dalliance with Stewart, is signing on to direct The Juliet, what will be his first post-scandal project, according to

But though The Juliet sounds like one-half of one of the most romantic stories of all time, it's actually a sci-fi tale, based on a short story by Hugo Award-winner Alfred Bester.

Sanders has been seen out and about in L.A., but whatever work he may have been doing all summer has been of the behind-the-scenes variety.

And while Pattinson and Stewart appear to have reconciled and were finally photographed together last night after weeks of somehow managing to avoid paparazzi, the 41-year-old Brit and Ross haven't been out socializing—well, not together, anyway—at all since news of his and Stewart's hookup broke in July.

Sanders opted to keep his wedding ring on through the warm SoCal summer, but Ross ditched her circle of trust early on.

Per Deadline, Sony Pictures and New Regency are aiming to get production rolling on The Juliet this spring.

Pre-scandal, Stewart had been mulling the possibility of a Snow White sequel, and had spoken of a film he was developing about the inception of the Drug Enforcement Administration, as well as a flick that may have been the one coming to fruition now, a "science fiction version of the Battle of Algiers."
