It's never a dull day in the Hamptons.

On tonight's Revenge we got a glimpse into Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Aiden's (Barry Sloane) past, plus their pretty rocky present. Not to mention there are some serious revelations about Emily's mom, Kara Clarke. It's time to discuss "Confidence," which included a big (public) Grayson bombshell and an even bigger cliffhanger.

Let's get going!

Aiden and Emily Flashback: It's 2008 and we see Aiden and Emily going through one of Takeda's (Hiroyuki Sanada) training exercises. Aiden ends up leaving training early to help save his sister. Emily wants to come too. They kiss goodbye (kinda cute!). Aiden ends up leaving an upset Emily alone, and we see Takeda tell her she needs to close her heart if she wants to succeed on her own revenge mission. Foreshadowing much?

The White-Haired Man (James Morrison): He's gone! Aiden shoots him, but of course this still doesn't please Em. Once WHM is down, they find a passport on him revealing his name (we know what it is, but if you missed it click here) and then Emily ends up knocking Aiden out with a wine bottle. We also learn that the WHM and Kara Clarke are definitely in contact.

Victoria (Madeleine Stowe): We finally see how Victoria got off the plane. The WHM finds V and convinces her that Conrad's death would be mutually beneficial to the both of them, while also threatening Charlotte's (Christa B. Allen) life (and her inheritance) if Victoria doesn't play ball. Back to present day-- Emily and Victoria meet, but as always it never ends peacefully.

Amanda (Margarita Levieva): Still suspicious about this one. Who else thinks she's really taking shots of whiskey? Anyway, she and Jack (Nick Wechsler) argue (what's new) plus she and Emily get into it (what's new, part two). Emily wants Amanda to deliver something to Charlotte and--shocker--she won't do it. This "new family" dynamic with the Graysons does not please Jack.

Emily and Aiden Present: Emily and Aiden each has something the other wants, so they end up making a trade: Aiden gets all of the WHM's belongings while Emily gets the recorder from Victoria's non-plane crash Aiden has in his possession. But these two really don't trust each other. During the "trade," Emily holds back a watch she found in WHM's pocket with a photo of her mom.  She also secretly switches out the SIM cards.

The Press Conference: Shout out to Team WWK's own Tierney Bricker for being one of the media extras in the audience! Victoria holds a press conference where she announces that Charlotte is David Clarke's daughter and that she will not be intimidated by her kidnappers. Amanda is in attendance (she ends up bringing Emily's journal to Charlotte), and Victoria invites her on stage along with the rest of her family. What an interesting family portrait...they look stronger than ever. Appearances can, and are, deceiving though. It's hard to keep track of who is trying to backstab who in the Grayson familiy.

Kara Clarke: At the end of the episode Emily listens to the WHM's messages and hears her mom's voice. After Aiden stopped by earlier (he pretended to be a detective when digging through the WHM's room to find the flight recorder) Kara says she is going dark as discussed and says she hopes he's okay and she loves him. WHAT?
