Memo to Ann Romney: If that first-lady bid doesn't pan out, here's one gig that could work out just fine.

Mitt Romney's missus played guest host Wednesday on Good Morning America, filling in for Robin Roberts, who is on medical leave after undergoing a bone-marrow transplant.

The mother of five, decked out in a smart crimson shirtdress, immediately charmed cohosts George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer by using a foolproof trick: cooking for them!

Romney, who opened the show's second hour, whipped up some Welsh cakes on set for the gang, explaining that the recipe had been handed down to her by her grandmother. (Stephanopoulos happily approved as he noshed on the treats.)

Then it was on to business, as Romney chatted up Dancing With the Stars castoffs Drew Lachey and Hélio Castroneves about getting booted off the show.

She even nabbed some big laughs from Lachey when she asked him what he thought about the scoring.

"It's frustrating," he told her as he mugged it up and pretended to squirm in his chair. "I thought it was better than some of the other dances that got similar scores. But I had a blast dancing."

After a quick segment outside the studio in which Romney interviewed Paralympic equestrian Rebecca Hart, she headed back inside for yet another cooking session, this time with guest Stanley Tucci.

Indeed, the first-lady hopeful had quite the full plate during her Good Morning America stint.
