AKM-GSIBachelor winner Courtney Robertson stepped out in L.A. Sunday without her engagement ring from ex-fiancé Ben Flajnik.
On Friday, the reality stars announced in a statement that after nine months together, they were ending their relationship.
"More than anything, I want people to know there wasn't some huge fight or one specific thing that led to it," Courtney tells Wetpaint Entertainment.
"There's really no story to tell other than the fact that it just wasn't working out. We both realized it in the last three weeks. Things had gotten strained. Of course it's sad, but we both know it's for the best."
She adds, "I have no regrets. Ben will always have a special place in my heart."
Meanwhile, the former Bachelor tweeted, "A big thanks to you all for your support during this time in my life. It has been a crazy journey over the past couple years and I am blessed to have amazing friends/fam."
"The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both, and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers," the former couple said in a statement.
