The advance first-day ticket sales of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 have far surpassed the previous first-day ticket sales for Breaking Dawn Part 1 E! News confirms.

Around this time last year, Breaking Dawn Part 1 managed to rake in $626,000 on its first-day advance ticket sales, but Part 2's first-day advance tickets, which went on sale Monday, brought in a whopping—wait for it—$1.17 million! That's an 87 percent increase!
A good number of the sales, about a quarter of them, went toward The Twilight Saga marathon purchase, which screens all the films before the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2.
