The female leg of The X Factor hosting race is almost won—and we've narrowed down the frontrunners.

Khloé Kardashian Odom and Chrissy Teigen, both long considered favorites to become the fairer half of a prospective male-female hosting team for the show's second season, are indeed the final two ladies being considered for the job, E! News confirms.

Both the E! reality star and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model have proven they're comfortable in front of the camera, but this would be the first prime-time hosting gig on a broadcast network for either one.

Whoever is ultimately selected will join the all-but-locked-down Mario Lopez to front the live portion of the competition, which kicks off in a few weeks. The audition phase of The X Factor already premiered last month to great Britney-and-Demi-inspired fanfare.

Hope this season is as exciting as its casting process has proven to be.
