Was Lindsay Lohan destined to play Elizabeth Taylor?

That's certainly what the embattled starlet seems to suggest in this new promo for the upcoming biopic Liz & Dick, which weaves together making-of footage and interviews with LiLo and her costar Grant Bowler.

"I'm a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan, and I relate to her on a lot of levels—living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it's true or not," Lohan says in the video. "I personally understand Liz because you're living your life for everyone to see and people are growing with you. You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life in that way you feel you need to live it."

As for Lohan's portrayal of the Hollywood icon, Bowler, who takes on the role of Taylor's greatest love of all, Richard Burton, insists she nailed it.

"She's pretty much Elizabeth Taylor reincarnated," he says.

The promo also makes sure to point out that this is Lohan's first starring role in five years.

Guess we'll have to wait until November, when Liz & Dick premieres on Lifetime, to see if it was worth the wait.
